The bar of the Game Room with billiards and other games surrounding it.

Located within the beautifully restored and immersive Chicago Athletic Association, the Game Room was reborn out of the old Billiards Room, from when the building was an exclusive social club for the elite in 1893. The ornate, wood-paneled hall boasts a variety of games to play in an old Chicago-style atmosphere, packed with a built-in bocce bay, billiards tables, foosball, and more. Standing right on Michigan Avenue, the Chicago Athletic Association is just steps away from Millenium Park and a fifteen-minute walk from the hotel.

Saturday Formal Banquet: The Rookery Heading link

The Rookery's light court with a flight of stairs descending it.

Designed by Burnham and Root, the picturesque Rookery was finished in 1888 and is regarded as one of Chicago’s most historically and architecturally significant buildings. In 1905, it was redesigned by Frank Lloyd Wright, resulting in a beautiful two-story, sky-lit lobby. Meticulously renovated and maintained, the Rookery is Chicago’s oldest standing high-rise, centrally located in the financial district of the downtown Loop. Many elements of the building are original, including its doorknobs, parts of its hand-laid mosaic flooring, and its spectacular Oriel Staircase.
